Iveco has revamped its Daily minibus for the 2022 model year. For more than 40 years, it has been a popular travel accessory for small and large groups over both short and long distances. The Iveco is just as suitable as a school or shuttle bus as for regular public transport services. Whatever task the minibus is asked to do, it always performs it very efficiently. This is because in addition to two 3-litre diesel engines with SCR technology, its bonnet also houses a CNG engine on request which in principle emits up to 25% less CO2 than other internal combustion engines. Emissions of nitrogen oxides (NOX) are even up to 95% lower. The 3-litre CNG turbocharger delivers 136 hp and 350 Nm and can be combined with the new 6-speed manual transmission or the comfortable 8-speed automatic transmission.

The new manual transmission is clearly more precise; its backlash has been reduced by 50% compared to the previous models and no oil change is required for 350,000km. This reduces the total cost of ownership of the Daily as well as the use of CNG, which allows savings of at least 30% compared to conventional fuels. The CNG minibus is also available with the HI-MATIC 8-speed automatic transmission, which offers advantages in terms of comfort, safety, fuel consumption and performance.

Thanks to Air Pro air suspension, it has also been possible to reduce swaying in curves and the on-board vibrations are significantly lower, which increases comfort and stability. Lasting travel comfort is complemented by the more comfortable and larger seats. Depending on the variant, the minibus with a CNG engine can accommodate up to 28 passengers. But it’s not just passengers who benefit from the new features – thanks to the electronic power steering with its clever City Mode function, the driver’s steering effort is reduced by up to 70%. You can save even more on CO2 emissions alone with the Iveco Daily, because if you only fill up with biogas, you can actually drive in a virtually CO2-neutral manner, making the minibus the most sustainable travel accessory.
